NSDCA Division 4 - Main Details

About the Division:

Division 4 was reintroduced in 2006-2007 following a 6 year absence. It was reintroduced to cope with the increased number of teams following the trial of a new grading system for teams and divisions. However, since then there has been a huge drop in the number of teams. 11 teams entered the division at it's peak, but now only 5 teams compete. Champions Fenton C are still in there while Cheddleton have only entered one team. The grade limit has been increased to 460 to cope with grade increases, with a minimum grade of 90. No player graded over 105 can play for two teams in this division, although that is irrelevant as no club has two teams in this division. Meir, Newcastle and Kidsgrove make up the 5 teams.

Rules and Regulations:

The division matches are played under BCF Longplay regulations. The division matches are played with 4 players per team. There are 5 teams in the division. Teams play each other 3 times in a season. The combined grade of the team cannot be more than 460 BCF. If it is then they will be subject to a points deduction depending on how much over the limit the team is. The grade of every player in the division is counted as a minimum of 90 BCF for the team grade only. The players individual grade though will be used for grading scores on their individual game. If a player is graded 105 BCF or over then they can only play for one team in the same division. Any less and they can play for any number of teams (belonging to the same club) in the same division.
