NSDCA Intermediate Cup - Main Details

About the Cup:

A cup that is open to all players graded under 130, until 2007 this was the lowest graded cup competition. For 5 years in a row at the start of this century, it was won by Cheddleton. This was broken 2 years ago when Kidsgrove won the competition for the first time in 2007, and Fenton beat Holmes Chapel to win the competition in 2008. During their run to the final, they beat the previous holders Kidsgrove in the first time and then beat Cheddleton 4-1 in the semi-final, which is the third season in a row Fenton have elimated Cheddleton. Last season though was the first season in 4 that Fenton haven't played Cheddleton, and they went on to win the cup, beating Fenton's conquerers Holmes Chapel in the final.

Rules and Regulations:

The Cup is affiliated to the BCF and all matches count for grading points. The division matches are played under Longplay BCF regulations. The division matches are played with 5 players per team. There are 8 teams in the Cup. There is no minimum grade for players competing in the cup. Only players graded 130 or under are eligable for the cup.
